Taken from Mayfield Eight Part One: Into the Rat Hole!
The wreckage of Calvin's father Ray from the day Calvin was born... July 27 1957. Ray encountered a head-on collision with a freight train. Here the police are investigating the scene and the coroner is ready to load Ray's body into their wagon. The last panel is a cut to the present day: 1974, made evident by the smiley face and P.O.W. sticker.
